Nicholas Hower is a highly skilled technical expert, Senior Colourist, and the technical director and co-owner of Post Lab IO. With an extensive background in colour grading, Nick has worked on various projects, ranging from long-form feature films to documentaries, episodic productions, and commercials. He has delivered content to numerous international and domestic distributors and major streaming services such as Netflix, Stan, ABC, and SBS.

Nick's passion for colour grading is rooted in his love for the craft and his ability to bring energy to every grade session. He has vast experience working with various capture formats, including 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, Arri Alexa, Red, Canon and Sony.

Nick's deep technical knowledge in photography, CG/VFX, IT systems, digital signal processing, and colour science allows him to deliver outstanding results and bring the director's and cinematographer's vision to life in all grading situations.

Nick oversees the entire post-production process as the technical director, from conforming to final delivery. His expert technical knowledge enables him to optimize the quality of all productions he works on.

He has designed and built Post Lab IO's colour grading suites to meet international broadcast and theatrical delivery standards.

Nick is a full Colorist Society International (CSI) member and brings a calm, analytical mind to every project. He is always happy to discuss and offer advice on the myriad technical aspects of production, from pre to post. His dedication to his craft extends to his personal life, where he enjoys hobbyist electronics and film photography.
